Flexible Work Schedules

Retirement Benefits
Maryland State employees are eligible for participation in a contributory defined benefit pension plan in which they are vested after five years. State employees are also eligible to participate in two supplemental retirement plans: the 457 Deferred Compensation Plan and the 401(k) Savings and Investment Plan.
Free Mass Transit Benefit
Permanent State employees are entitled to use the Light Rail, the Baltimore Metro Subway and bus service in the Baltimore metro area at no charge with a valid State ID card. This benefit can be used any time of day or evening, including weekends.
The Free Mass Transit Benefit does not include the MARC trains, commuter buses or any special event buses.
VETERANS ELGIBILITY CREDIT
The state of Maryland offers Veterans an Eligibilty credit when applying for jobs.
An appointing authority shall apply a credit of ten points on any selection test for:
1. an eligible veteran;
2. the spouse of an eligible veteran who has a service connected disability; or
3. the surviving spouse of a deceased eligible veteran.
An appointing authority shall apply a credit of two additional points on any selection test for:
1. an eligible veteran who has a service connected disability; or
2. a former prisoner of war.

DPA provides engineering, technical and programmatic support to the Naval Air Systems Weapons Systems Command Engineering Division. This includes acquisition phases of concept Exploration and Definition (CE/D), Demonstration and Validation (DEM VAL), Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD), Production and Deployment, and Operations and Support for several Air-to-Air Missile systems, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Air Launched Decoys, and Aerial Targets.
DPA provides engineering, technical and analytical services that have contributed to the accomplishment of the system engineering and programmatic requirements associated with developmental UAV programs. These include the Pioneer Short Range RPV, Pioneer Radio Relay, Mockingbird, Pioneer Alternate Fuel Engine, Medium Range RPV and Amber programs, as well as associated fiscal and program management.
In support of the Navy, Marine Corps and Army UAV Programs from our offices in Lexington Park, MD, Fort Huachuca, AZ and Arlington, VA, DPA has provided state-of-the-art program support, engineering design and operational analysis. In addition, DPA has contributed to the success of these programs with its exploration of unique UAV designs and mission profiles.
